Re: Ara's clear clarity

Ara, actually I am quite amazed at John's restraint in responding to some of your particularly insulting posts. In case you don't know, "Angels Dancing on the Head of a Pin" is a reference to how many of them can do that--i.e., something that cannot be observed or quantified. It *also* connotes that arguing a certain point may be as meaningless as trying to count how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. There is nothing insulting in that. It simply implies that further argument about a certain point may be moot.

Your word play, implying that John is a pinhead, is overtly insulting to him and I'm sure other members of this board.

Your arguments are ill-reasoned and frankly, more than a little insulting to John. You have contradicted yourself twice, now. Why do you persist with an argument you cannot win? You said you have not insulted John, but John feels insulted and I and others here are beginning to feel aggravated by your argumentative stance. That John left out an eight insult (that I expanded on) does not negate the former seven you flung at him. And even if they did, so what? It was a cheesy thing to say.

You also claimed a certain post would be your last, then continued badgering John. Do you have a clue who John is and what he does in the world? Show a little respect, please.

What is your purpose and intent in being on this forum? If it is to stir things up, like our last troublemaker, I may ask Canie to take a good look at your posts and perhaps spare us any more of them.

You owe John an apology.

Respectfully,

Cathryn
