Tilts Are Interesting

Hi All,

This morning when I took a look at the USGS CA/EQ maps I noticed something. It rather looks a lot like it did two years ago. The strand that runs from Hollister north is in place, the small quakes in and around the bay area and the north coast is back to its usual delivery of small to medium sized earthquakes.

Now if you will take a moment to look at the Bay Area Tilt Meters you'll notice two lines that can tell you a little bit about what's happening. The Presidio E. meter has been flatlining for months now and its not anymore. Then looking at the Berkeley North meter, it to is showing some interesting signs of change, now dipping rather than rising and then returning to a nearly level reading. For me I take it that these two readings are showing me something new is on the horizon, so I'd say heads up something around these parts is about let us know what this is all about.

When I was doing my looking around this morning I had a thought that it reminded me much of when a hurricane is going to come on shore. For a brief time they can't tell which way its headed. Then the other thought was it was like being in the eye of a hurricane and unsure when that "quiet" was going to end. Feels like somethings in the wind.

Pat
