I think more people read my posts than read my papers, but my papers hopefully have more long-term impact than do my posts...which may have little impact. If I don't write papers, or at least be co-author on papers of others, pretty soon I will not be able to get funding, then I won't be paid, then I will be an amateur scientist, at which point no one will take me seriously....although I may not be taken too seriously now. I'm taking a break from my paper...and I have to take a shower...even scientists have to bathe every month or two (that was a joke for Petra).
