My first thought would be to not believe that they actually made that prediction in those words. I would want to see an independent proof of what they actually said...like an abstract for the meeting written before the quake....not how someone else summarizes the abstract...the actual words. Even then, there are enough people out there predicting earthquakes that someone, somewhere, would be that close by chance...IMHO. Someone truly independent who knew what they were doing would have to evaluate all of their predictions...Not only would I not know how to do this, I would not be interested in doing it (or have time to).
