Hi all,

A general question with respect to 9.0 recently. I heard on the news that looters were telling people that more waves were coming. When people fled their homes, the looters went about their business.

A thought occurred to me that the looters may have been correct? I noticed a 7.1 aftershock, and many in the 6+ range. Wouldn't these have been large enough to produce a tsunami? Obviously much smaller in scale, but perhaps still dangerous. I think people often forget that the main event of this size is followed by some very sizable events that can be large. (I recall someone mentioning they were surprised there were no aftercshocks in the 8 range) In other words, the danger is not over for some period of time?
