I read the answer to Todd's question...but you are still too vague for me to know what you looked at. There certainly were earthquakes on Thursdays in California for 2001....its a question of how small, and what areas you are looking at. I don't know much about catalogues, but I doubt you are looking at one that is complete for M down to 2.0....and not down to 1.0, or 0.0, or -1.....I think what you are looking at is the statistics of small numbers...a limited catalogue.
