Petra I don't know what is easier but checking the times would be useful. I made the comment about there never been signficant felt event last 20 years at lunch and the more I think about it, the more it seems true in every cirumstance. 1906, 1971, 1933, 1868, 1838, 1980, 1892, 1969, 1994, 1999, 1992 and all the 5 pointers to rock the bay area and LA in between. NONE seem to have been in the midday. Always at sunrise and sunset and in the middle of the night. Possibly entirley coincidence but it is fascinating.

BTW I assume you guys know which quakes I'm talking about for years listed, if not I'll clarify.
