Though 11 months does not a study make, I thought I'd tell you about what I uncovered about the year 2004 from January to Nov 30th.

During the month of March in the SF Bay Area there were no quakes on any Thursdays for the entire month. The highest number of quakes on any given days of the week during any month was 17, which was shared by Tuesdays in March and Fridays in November. And so far, Saturdays and Sundays had fewer quakes than the rest of the days of the week. Saturday's totaled 67 and Sunday's 74, compared to the highest, which was Wednesdays at 96. The YTD average is 81.

So yes, so far this year Don and I were right, there were fewer quakes on the weekends. But as to that being a standard, only time and much patience will tell.
