Happy Thanksgiving Everyone

I wanted to wish you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving.

It seems strange to have a holiday which centers around eating, when in fact it is a celebration of perserverance by our forefathers. While the first Thanksgiving had many dishes at the time, today though we too have dozens of choices, items such as Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy and cranberry sauce, pretty much makes up the primary food sources for our dinners.

I would have disliked being a pilgrim child and be given popcorn with milk on it as my breakfast cereal. Gosh, wet popcorn, yucky!

While our turkey is cooking tomorrow my daughter and I will be putting up the outside Christmas lights. The first year at Casa de Petra for Feliz Navidad will be a challenge as one never knows how to make the electrical facilities match the need of the strings of lights, not to mention I hate getting higher than the third rung on the ladder. I have a big time healthy fear of heights so I gotta muster up some courage tomorrow as I may well need to scale up a bit. LOL I'm sure there will be some good moments of laughter.

Perhaps I should borrow the carpenter two doors down and ask for outside assistance?

Have a wonderful holiday,

Petra
