For the last couple of days the earthquake incidence rate for all of California has been decreasing from a hight of around 674 to at the time of this writing 594. The number of Quakes for the Long Valley Caldera map has increased from around 27 to at this time 83. The number of quakes greater than 2.8 have been increasing also in the Long Valley Caldera map area. This is the most quakes greater than 2.8 in Long Valley I have seen in awhile. All since January 19, 2000. This area has the attention of the Geology Department of Washington State. It and Yellowstone are two areas which may have new future volcanos formed. Washington and Oregon are not active at this for volcanic activity.
