I'll try to avoid politics in this post.

Whether restarting the American nuclear weapons program, abandoning the nuclear test ban treaties, aborting the Kyoto accords on the environment, limiting stem cell research, eliminating birth control from the methods for controlling population growth in the third world, hijacking NASA's agenda to inject glamour missions, stacking scientific panels with religious and business people with no relevant knowledge, or gutting the protections on the environment, Bush is not popular among scientists.

And I don't have to leave the country because the Republicans won the election.
