These posts look like some people forget the Constitution's checks and balances. The executive branch of the U.S. government does not make laws or adopt a budget. The President has some veto power, but all states are represented equally in the Senate and proportionally according to population in the House. Decisions can be slow because of that, but it gives individual citizens opportunity (and responsibility) to be heard. So far this system has not given us a dictator, and it isn't likely to do so following this year's election. Mary C.
