Hey Cathryn,

Score a hit for you. You, just like many others who hear ear tones do not hear them for places which are in close proximity. So you get it in another way, such as your earthquakey feeling. This is good. Thanks for sharing your feelings.

My feelings are not like yours, but valid anyway. My feeling is that time is running out and we won't get ready soon enough. I wish it weren't so. Last night I took a crack at writing to the International Red Cross to see if I can tickle their interest in investing in television on earthquake preparedness. They do much work in regard to disaster preparedness and maybe this time I won't fall on deaf ears. There is always hope. I should remember that more frequently.

I spent another day today at the campus of SRJC and spoke to a couple of women over there. I asked them, like I do many what they would do if they were in the grocery store and an earthquake struck. I got the same wrong answer I always get when they told me they would run out of the front of the store. When I mentioned the bread and chips section one of them said perhaps the meat section would be good too because they don't stack meat that high. Good for her. One day I would like to hold a surprise class at the end of another class on earthquake safety and then I wouldn't have to wait and see who was a no show. A captive audience perhaps, would be the best kind.

I don't care if I have to get them one or two at a time, but educate them I will because I want them to live until they're old and get there all in one piece.
