Hi Cathryn, Mogi's for the most part are hard to define because they don't always form in the time period alloted by the USGS earthquake maps. People like Biswas for instance has been studying them for many years as they have appeared along Rampart Fault in Alaska. Mogi's are not always the plain ordinary circle you expect, but sometimes are eliptical and then you can't see the bottom for instance, but only the side, like looking at a tire turned on end where you can see the bottom half. They may remain more of a curiosity than anything else, but hardly substantive in earthquake prediction. Petra
