Ms. Mellie called today and said all of the Elk in the area of MSH have left the area. Seems they already know what to do without anyone telling them.

Also her geologist friend took a helicopter ride yesterday over the mountain and saw that the glacier has cracked and near the edge he could see the lava coming up.

Melanie the Volcano Chasing Woman will have to return home tomorrow, though she'd love to stay for so much longer. Life will seem dull for her after this experience I'm sure. Today she was interviewed by both NBC and ABC local TV stations about her experiences there. A perfect finish to a great adventure.
