How hard and fast is this 37.5 mile distance for ear tones? I live 111 miles from Parkfield. If my ear tone was for Parkfield, which I am sort of intuitively certain it was, then that puts my ear tone distance at only 3 miles per second. What do you make of this?

I have often had ear tones for Don's area that also correspond to this 3 miles per second formula. The louder they are, the bigger they are for me. I've had right ear tones (north) that also seem to fit into this formula. Am I the only anomaly, or should I rethink things?
