Hi Tim,

There was a man who was going to take an elevator ride in a building to the first floor and when the doors opened, he noticed that none of the people standing inside of the elevator had any auras about them. He knew something was wrong and he waited. The elevator doors closed and then there was a sound, people began to scream and the elevator crashed to the floor, killing everyone inside. The man was Edgar Cayce. People said he was a phychic, but his best abilities came in regard to healing people using homeopathic medicines than foretelling the future.

A few years ago Nature Magazine from the UK hosted the Nature Debates through their magazine and for several weeks some of the worlds top seismologists debated whether earthquake prediction was possible. The results were poor at best with some citing it to be too difficult due to so many variables with faults all over the world and other said they thought it might be in a lesser degree but funding was an issue. In the end when they discussed whether it should be pursued, most said no. And absolutely no one said it should be attempted to try and afford someone, anyone on this planet, the ability to live or let their loved one's do so.

Four years later we now have Dr. Keilis Borok demonstrating that it can be done. There is no big money machine behind him. He is no more perfect in his work than we are at ear tones, or "feelings."

I believe we sense danger and that is part of the human experience. If it were not meant to be so, it would not occur. Our problem in being human is that we don't always understand the signal and may interpret it incorrectly. Ah, the human frailty. But this plus and minus problem can occur for a scientist too when reading data and trying to understand what it conveys as well. In such an imperfect place as Earth we should learn to have a little give and take in all matters.

I am not a scientist. I have tremendous respect for those who are because I know the dedication it takes to become one is admirable. Roger, John and Chris are very special people because they leave room for the rest of us who feel we have something to offer in our experience. For that I am truly humbled.

I know in my heart the days of quiet in California are short. I've read thousands of documents from the scientific community and there is nothing they have said that makes me feel otherwise. So as we venture forward I hope we are both ready for what Mother Nature will deliver.

Another man once said, "this is a fast moving train and the rails are slick, but if you hold on tight, you will make it." King Feisel
