I don't think I've shared the news with you yet, but my plans at this time are to move to Rosarito Beach in four years, or maybe just a little less. This place is 20 miles south of San Diego and for someone who grew up in San Diego County 20 miles north of the city, it's the perfect place. It has become, Little America south and is mostly inhabited by Americans.

Baja not only offers terrific weather but an easily affordable lifestyle right on the ocean. New four bedroom villa style homes only cost $125,000. A major medical plan available to all residents is $300 a year. Doctors visits and prescriptions are $10. Most medicines are available over the counter at miniscule prices. Some heart medications people pay $200 a month for in the US only cost $20 there.

Of course between now and then I have to go back to school so I can speak Spanish fluently as I've forgotten most of what I learned a long time ago. But learning some Italian from Antonio two years ago helped a lot as the languages are very similar.

Warm days..cool nights..plenty of earthquakes...yep...my kind of place.
