Hurricanes and Earthquakes

I thought this was interesting... while we have:
A HURRICANE WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR JAMAICA.

AT 5 PM...2100Z...THE GOVERNMENT OF THE CAYMAN ISLANDS HAS ISSUED A
HURRICANE WARNING FOR THE CAYMAN ISLANDS.

We also have had an unusual earthquake -
Magnitude 6.1 - CAYMAN ISLANDS REGION 2004 September 9 16:33:22 UTC

I have heard today that Ivan is now a cat 5 hurricane - All I can say is we probably should be praying (or whatever your peronal beliefs have you do) for all those in its path...

I would venture to guess that all this hurricane activity could be a result of global warming... and it's not going to get any better...

I mentioned to Keith the other day that I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get hurricane activity sometime in the next few years up here in southern cal...
