Hi All,

Thursday was the big day for EarthScope to unveil its huge drilling operation in little Parkfield. According to the attached article little is right as they stating the population has dropped from 37 to 18. Whew.

I am elated to say the least that this project has taken some substance and interest of scientists from all over the world, which includes John V as well. John I hope may make a note or two about interesting details we might learn from as time goes by.

The SAFOD web page provides a photo of the day and notes of the day, which should prove interesting. There is already a long list of entries all worthy of an evening of reading and photo viewing.

Perhaps soon Mother Earth will deliver something measurable to give everyone a chance to get a head start on data collection and analysis.
