California flareup, offshore Baja

Bit of a cluster of earthquakes in southern and Central California the last 24 hours...plus a 5+ far offshore northern Baja. That one is interesting in that use of GPS in California and Baja, and comparison to a GPS-based Pacific paloet motion, shows several mm/yr of plate motion offshore west of Baja...which continues through the far offshore California outer Borderland...so, plate motion is faster than once thought....because this motion bypasses the spreading centers in Gulf of California...
