Hi Chris. Lowell has told me more then once that large storms on the East Coast of the US can affect quake activity along the West Coast especially in the areas of Central and South America. The storms he was talking about were from the east of the US. The hurricane Charley hit the US from the west, but could still have an affect, but in a different way, or different location.

Also just before the first quake there was a small X flare, and then a fairly large M flare. It could be a combination of all three incidents that triggered the quakes. However like everything else there is just no way of proving that, or even a check to make that might give some indications. It is one of those things you note and file away for future use.

I have to agree though that it seems more then just a coincident that all of those quakes occurred in such a short period of time. The other thing to remember is that there are some people who don’t like to say things happen by coincident. I’m one of those people. Take Care…Don in creepy town
