Territoriality

Thanks again Todd.

I am afraid that logic, reason, and comments on polite Internet protocol are not going to accomplish much here.

The problem appears to me one of territoriality. I believe that with some people, if someone in the same vicinity expresses an opinion that they don’t approve of they regard it as a threat to their own interests. And they attempt to drive the offending party out of the area with personal insults, calls for public support for banishment etc. In such cases the use of logic is not likely to accomplish much.

This bulletin board was created so that people wishing to express opinions regarding earth changes related subjects could do that in a somewhat protected environment. And the thread concept should be adequate to accomplish that. When you don’t like what some other person says in another thread then you just ignore it.

Unfortunately that concept is not working here. It appears that if certain people do not agree with something being said in another thread they will attack it regardless of who started the thread.

If you think that this is a problem which just recently surfaced then go back a few year in time in the archives. It would probably be difficult to say how many people who used to post notes here left the board because they were getting constantly harassed by these territoriality related attacks.

Again, logic and discussions of polite Internet behavior are not going to help. But thanks for the support anyway.

These are personal opinions.
