perfect storm Charlie

Hurricane Charley has just suddenly intensified to category 4, 145 mph, and taken more of a right turn than expected...so may catch some people off guard. By the time this is done, including flooding in the northeast, I would not be surprised if it was a multi billion $ disaster...maybe 10 billion....by comparison to Andrew....
There will be some tidal stresses from the storm surge...let's see....a large fraction of a bar...10 m=1 atmosphere=1 bar (?), 4 m storm surge...but maybe no faults near failure....so I guess they can just worry about the storm....I may drive up to Rhode Island tomorrow to see it if it comes up the east coast....
