EDG is offensive, but his posts are amusingly misguided and not too numerous. If there are bandwidth problems, however, his exile would be the least expensive way to fix them.

My personal feeling is that only (1) extremely frequent posters, (2) consistently off-topic posters, or (3) people who make personal attacks need banning. EDG is skirting with (3).

Vacation is fine here, I'm going for a hike in the Cascades this afternoon to avoid the traffic from a visit by Bush about a mile from the mother-in-law's this afternoon. I found that the Bellevue public library has a nice wireless network, although I'm in Starbucks for the coffee this morning checking email, as she has no DSL line.
