Roger, the program is working so well that it is frightening to me. I thought that it did an excellent job of detecting the approach of both the recent powerful earthquakes in Fiji and Indonesia. I never expected it to be able to detect relatively harmless earthquakes like those, just ones occurring near large cities and other heavily populated areas.

I don’t have any trouble getting governments etc. to pay attention to my earthquake warnings. The problem is to get them to do some research themselves. And that doesn’t apply only to earthquake forecasting. Pick any subject that you want and you will probably discover that motivation is the main thing holding up development efforts. Some 20,000 to 50,000 people die every day from hunger and disease. I personally feel that many of those deaths could be avoided if governments and enough people made intelligent efforts to do something.
