Test of mag 8+ quakes

Hi all;

To answer John's question I extracted all mag 8+ quakes from the
biggest database I have from NEIC. Then I computed the Sun-Moon
angle and counted them into an array.

The table below shows the count by degrees and a chi-square
calculation done by grouping into 30 degree segments.

Accepted 70 quakes, mag. 8.0+

Chi-square = 14.34 with 11 degrees of freedom, significance
level about 20%

The results are not significant enough to support the theory.
