There was a 3.9 way offshore southern California. I'm too lazy right now to plot it and see if it is west of the paleosubduction zone....but my guess is that it is....and in the deep Pacific....a rare quake...but you have rare quakes occuring somewhere all the time....Its actually cool and dry in eastern suburbia....actually shivering at a cookout at Lamont-Doherty.....Chris
