Ear Tone generation

There is a pencil shaped laboratory device called a “cell disrupter” which generates an electromagnetic field (I believe) which will cause you to hear an “Ear Tone” which is almost identical to the sound generated by that .wav file at your Web site.

Biologists use cell disrupters to emulsify liquid samples such as blood samples. They generate an extremely high frequency sound wave which causes the cell walls in the blood sample to shatter, releasing the cell contents into the solution. The sound wave is up around 1 million cycles per second. It is produced by feeding a high frequency electromagnetic wave into a quartz crystal. The surface of the crystal then vibrates.

The sound itself is probably around 7000 cycles per second. And I am guessing that it is being generated by some type of imperfection related harmonic in the power supply of the cell disrupter.

With the Ear Tones that people hear before an earthquake I think that we might be seeing a high frequency electromagnetic signal like that superimposed on very low frequency radio waves which are picking up that information as they pass through the fault zone where the earthquake is getting ready to occur and then transporting it with relatively little attenuation to locations around the world.

If you enter the UTC time for an Ear Tone into the downloadable computer program stored at my Web site then I believe that it will at times identify the location of the fault zone responsible for the Ear Tone.

Some of the earthquake signals that I myself have detected in the past have matched quite well with Ear Tone times sent to me by one or more other people.
