Hi Farhad. By any chance are you Amiri Farhad?

That is a tough question. Tehran was shaken in 1830 by a magnitude 7.2 quake, but as to what the future holds for the area is anyone’s guess. I suspect that isn’t what you want to hear though.

The biggest problem with Tehran is buildings. With any earthquake be it a moderate one, or a major one if the building practice isn’t sufficient then it doesn’t matter what size the quake is. The best thing anyone can do is to prepare for the quake. Earthquakes don’t injure or kill people, but falling buildings and what have you do.

These faults are located in Central East Iran. Abiz Fault, Doruneh Fault, Gowk Fault, Kuhbanan Fault, Kalmard Fault, Mehdiabad Fault, Nostratabad Fault, Nehbandan Fault, Na'in Fault, Rafsanjan Fault, Shahre-Babak Fault, Zarand Fault and the Zagros Thrust Zone. Take Care…Don in creepy town
