Re: 10.5 - a Super PSA

Hi All,

I do think earthquake disaster movies are very good for making people think about preparedness, however, movies focus on disasters, not how to prepare for them. But it does present the path for a follow-up with PSA's because people are in that state of mind.

I love natural disaster films, regardless of how out of proportion they are, because there is always a morsel of truth behind them. I loved the movie with Pierce Brosnan about the volcano eruption in the small town which looked a lot like Mammoth Lakes. It had a little bit of everything, including romance. At last a scientist who seems romantic. Kewl. I have met some scientists who are terribly romantic, but they are in short supply, unfortunately. (I should blush)

I would like to urge everyone to watch 10.5 and then we can compare notes here. It would be awful to miss it and not know what everyone else was talking about. Right?
