We are working on the San Pedro Basin right-lateral strike-slip fault and have provided a 3D representation of the northern part of it to the SCEC Community fault model. It is active-with as much as 40 m of vertical separation in the last 50,000 years in one place (a restraining bend). Work done by K.B. and I. It cuts through an underlying Miocene low angle normal fault that has been reactivated as an (oblique) thrust fault.This low-angle fault projects into the Compton thrust ramp. An EQ on the combined fault would be a real nightmare....but would be a rare event....Chris
