Yes. Not much is known about how some dogs can sense impending seizures in adults, but you are right to say that epilepsy is, essentially (and literally) an electrical brain storm.

Migraines are a milder form of epilepsy and I get them frequently. Both involve the right temporal lobe, where the wires somehow get cross-connected. In my case its congenital; every female and two males on my mother's side of the family have them.

I have four dogs and none of them let me know when I'm going to come down with a migraine. Instead, I see an aura in my vision. A dot of blindness that enlarges into a multicolored "snake" dancing its way to my peripheral vision and then out into the clear beyond. Then the pain kicks in.

Luckily, now there are drugs like Imitrex and strong vasoconstrictors (the vessels in your head spasm in migraines) such as Cafergot that make pain a thing of the past. I have a migraine now, and eye bett yu kant eevin tell.
