Re: PSA's - Will We Ever Get Them?

Scheduling of PSA's is important. KCBS radio here in S.F. Bay Area ran a brief spot about preparing for an earthquake - gallon of water, 3-day supply of medications, batteries, etc. (I don't remember hearing not to run out of a building). I had fallen asleep with a radio on and awoke just before that announcement aired - around 3:30 or 4:00 a.m. this morning. I don't recall many details but think it was from Red Cross. Most PSA's I hear are late at night, not during daytime hours. Some children educate their parents about earthquake safety from what they learn about it at school, so safety PSA's would be most effective if aired when children as well as adults are awake to notice them. All family members need to know where supplies are stored and how to contact one another. They aren't likely to all be together when an earthquake occurs. Mary C.
