The calm before the storm? |
Wait a little longer. I am getting ready to begin circulating what I feel is a tremendously powerful earthquake and tornado forecasting and research Perl language computer program. It has been up and running for several weeks now and I am delighted with the way it works. Recent efforts have involved getting all of program documentation prepared. It has something like 50 different settings which users can adjust in order to focus on earthquakes occurring everywhere, or ones which produced fatalities, ones which occurred during a specific time period, had a certain magnitude range, or occurred within some latitude and longitude rectangle etc. etc. The program’s database contains records for some 23,000 earthquakes going back to the beginning of 1990. It also presently contains records for numerous earthquake precursor detection times along with a number of what I believe may have been tornado precursor detection times. Numerous Ear Tone detection times are included. The following Web page was created largely so that other researchers could add additional data processing routines to the program without having to be expert computer programmers: http://www.freewebz.com/eq-forecasting/Perl.html |
