Afraid To Make A Forecast |
Hi All. Maybe I’m the one who is wrong It had always been my feeling that when ever a person make a statement that they have a program that will do this or this that are obligated to post showing the world that it indeed works. About a month ago I started using the data geoForecaster sent to me for evaluation. This data is about 4 years old, but is still very good. The accuracy of the data is still good, but because I have to do the entire math by hand with a little assistance from the computer the accuracy will leave a lot to be desired. People for one reason, or another will not post a quake prediction because they are afraid of failing. If a person is afraid of failing then how does one expect to make any progress? You can learn from your failures just as easily as learning from your accomplishments. Being afraid to take that step in forecasting because you might fail is the poorest excuse for not posting. I know a lot of reason can be said for not posting they are nothing more then excuses for being afraid.
