most quakes in first 24 hours

Roger-it looks like the excess quakes in the first 24 hours would be statistically significant (although I'm only vaguely familar with statistics). It is about 3.6% more than the next greatest day, and maybe twice that of the average day (twice the variability....). That could mean that there is some slight triggering (or something else) at distances of 500 to 5000 km. I suppose this could be due to something that is already known-like static stress changes after very large (M>7.5) quakes at the closer distances, or P and S wave triggering from the larger quakes....
Or, it could be something else. I suppose doing 6 hour bins would show something, and maybe excluding M7+ quakes....

Are aftershocks removed from the input file?
Chris
