Re: any relation between French and Moroccan? |
First, Don sounds like your blockage clearage went well and you are OK. Good luck with that-I'm on blood thinners permanently for clotting disorder, and they won't let me go to Antarctica-missed last 2 trips: To the topic....I did not sleep well last night and can't follow your list. I don't think it's what I wanted, but I'm not sure-I especially don't know what the last number is. Roger...you would take any quake of M5+, and remove all quakes of any size within, say, 500 km. You could also remove all quakes farther than, say, 5000 km. From that reduced catalogue, for each quake, you would plot days to the next M5+ quake, and tabulate number of quakes for each 1 day (or 12 hour) interval. You could take that out 30 days, only after the initial quake (don't need to tabulate before the quake or quakes would be counted twice). Then, you go to the next quake, and do it again. Or, you might choose to only use an initial quake of M6+, followed by M5+, or M6+, as you decide. You could decide to limit this to the Pacific plate area, or just the west pacific, in case it only occurs in intact ocean crust and does not show up in squishy continent (in case the mechanism is an actual "tug" on the plate (if that makes physical sense?).
