Re: An Accurate Earthquake Prediction In China?

Don, as I have been saying to Donald, there is a tremendous amount of earthquake work going on in China. I have heard that in addition to at least 10,000 full-time workers including 2000 seismologists they have a virtual army of part-time or volunteer workers. When so many people are involved with an effort like that you have to assume that they are accomplishing something. And I know personally that there is a tremendous amount of work taking place there. I would not even try to keep track of a fraction of it.

For some reason there just seems to be a total lack of communications regards what is taking place. Even top research personnel here in the U.S. do not know about projects in that country which could have a dramatic impact on their own efforts. I presently have pretty good access to information regarding much of the research in that country. And one of the things that I am doing is trying to help with getting information exchanged between different groups inside China and in countries such as the U.S.

But I am afraid that what I have been saying all along is still the case here for the most part,

“Apathy reigns.”
