Here's a new twist: there is some directionality in the position and distance between the blue and red lines. Since I usually expect from 2002 studies that there will be three quakes of 6M or greater in the week surrounding the perigee (current one is January 19), and there have been none the first four days, I have two days to go.
Finally the blue and red lines have made a downturn below the median line, and the blue is at least one mark above the red. A study of recent quakes suggests that such happens for quakes in the Pacific area below the Equator, from South America to Papua New Guinea.

At this point the curves have not hit bottom, but on statistics, I think one or more quakes 6M or higher will occur in the next nine hours on or below the Equator, probably along the coast of South American and/or in the Loyalty/New Britain region.

This is a test of the directional hypothesis.
Nothing is guaranteed.
