Hi All. Every now and then my curiosity gets the best of me. Many years ago while living in Japan I heard the story about the “a rabbit in the moon.” Tonight while watching a documentary about the Kobe quake I could see there was a full moon. Seeing the full moon brought the story back to mind and I started to remember how the full story went. Knowing how the Japanese think and how they relate to things around them I had a feeling this story would still be around. Things that are tradition in Japan don’t die very easily and stories about natural phenomena are one of those. Keep in mind that the type of moon explained here occurs every month so this leaves why doesn’t a large quake occur every month plus the fact that some quakes with certain magnitudes don’t occur when they are supposed to, but instead will occur when there is a different type of moon I mean by different type is a new moon, waxing crescent moon, waning moon, and full moon. Anyhoo I found the story and I thought I would share it with you. I think it’s cute. Hope you enjoy. Take Care…Don the moon boy
