EQF

I continue to follow the solar proton and electron fluxes posted at
http://www.sel.noaa.gov/today.html
The dipping in the blue and red graphs in the electron chart can be confusing, but it does provide some time, which I am guessing can be two to four hours BEFORE a big quake, and possibly even more for quakes around 5M. The best value of these charts I can recommend is to look at them before you sign off the computer. A two mark (order of magnitude) dip below the median has been the indicator of 6M or greater quakes.

Caveat: The above is true when the proton graphs are on the bottom. I have not evaluated proton elevation and electron depression occurring at the same time.

Comment: These graphs are taken from saellites high in geostationary orbit over the Americas, and apparently picked up the changes from the Loyalty Islands, which are on the satellite horizon. Scientists from India and France are getting ready to study changes over the Himalayas by their own satellite.

Again, however, I am not aware that these satellites can locate the site of the coming quakes.
