Hi All,

Though our friend Lowell Whiteside can't be with us right now, I didn't want his birthday to go by unnoticed.

I thought of him on Sunday and wondered if he had charmed any of the animals in Maine like he did when he was in Colorado. He must miss Zima and the others dropping by for a sleep over or a fun play with his keyboard. Good days, now gone forever.

I know he really loved his job at the NEIC as he went there 7 days a week and long past when they paid him for his services. Such dedication is so rare. His job now, teaching Welcome Back Cotter's class must be a real challenge. I would imagine his dry sense of humor will either work wonders for him or leave the kids wondering.

I miss him more than words can say. I hope all of you do as well.
