Bob,

What a wonderful thing to say. Last night I started to write a chapter about a seismologist I met at the USGS this year and with him, all I had to do was look in his eyes and that's all I needed. There was something so charismatic about him, his calm nature, his wisdom from experience and he really captured me at that moment in time. I feel that way about many of them, I think in a funny way, I fell in love with every one of them. People are people everywhere and when you see with your heart and listen with your eyes, something wonderful happens. Inspiration!

Don't ever stop being romantic, it keeps you young, ever eager to greet each new day, in awe of the wonder of life itself. Always wondering if when the last day arrives if you've been everywhere you've wanted to go and said the things that touch the hearts of those you knew and were able to say, "you who passed my way, I loved you, even if for a moment in time."

There is indeed something mystical about earthquake prone area's. Maybe its the electrical discharges. Keeps one buzzing.
