All Here is an interesting dip, as it is complicated by elevated Kp. There was a red line dip from near the median by continuing. It started at 1800 UTC on 31 Dec. USGS is not yet updated, but Red Puma reports a 6.1M quake at 0400 1 Jan, which corresponds with the deepest point of the dip. As Petra notes, the nuances are important. The smaller quakes occurred with dips near the median, while this late big quake was when the red line was in the territory seen with other big quakes. Happy New Year! Now we get to see a correlation with elevated Kp's. Donald
