John-is it P or S wave triggering at Mammoth, or something else (more delayed)? I refuse to use "mode" terminology. Thinking about directivity last night, there should be a pretty strong effect from propagation of a thrust fault. Whether it is as strong as that for strike-slip, I don't know. Chris
