it seems Martin just watches for foreshocks - so when there's a small quake in an area he calls for a quake watch... I just did a search on the most recent quakes - the list shows a total of 54 quakes in Alaska in the last 30 days.

Most active areas are in his watch list. It wouldn't be too hard to do a list like that and get a good hit percentage... Phillapines, Aleutian Islands, Kuril Islands, Indonesia, California - these places have quakes about every 2-3 days so thay are easy targets..

Personally I want to predict those quakes that are dangerous to Mankind - We need to watch for Hectors, and Turkey quakes, and Taiwan quakes.

Alaska and Hawaii are our most seismically active states. Then of course followed by California.
