Read all discussions re: ear tones and Petra is right on. For those of you suffering tinnitis, many RX meds can cause the condition, including some OTC, such as aspirin? (Would you believe the accent on tinnitus is actually on the first syllable? But if you go around pronouncing it that way, people will think you're weird. Likewise if you say guacamole instead of "whacamole" Similarly, Osaka does not carry the stress on its second syllable [right Don? {okay to call,2 am and I'm up, but not for much longer.}])

I have never in all my writing years found occasion to use three sets of parentheses. Ah, simple pleasures.
