Join the horses |
Don, the bell has rung, the starting gate has swung open, and the horses are charging down the racetrack. But it appears to me that you are still sitting there by the starting gate wondering when the race is going to begin. I am talking with earthquake researchers around the world. And I am so busy working on reports and collecting and processing data that there is hardly any time to discuss all the things which are taking place. For example, Roger's new program has been largely debugged and will probably be released for general use as soon as a few details have been finalized. Responses that I have received from other earthquake researchers indicate to me that not too long after it becomes available scientists around the world will probably be examining it. And they will find it useful. Here is another sign of progress from NASA: http://spaceflightnow.com/news/n0312/04earthquake/ I myself have been for some time and plan to continue to try to get NASA researchers to move faster with their earthquake research. This is just a discussion board, not the Scientific American magazine. We aren't trying to prove anything here, just circulate some announcements and comment on this and that.
