Hi All, Having moderate to large earthquakes on Thanksgiving Day in California is about as rare as receiving snow in downtown LA on the same day. But in 1998 the odd became a reality. There were two 5.0+ earthquakes to strike within minutes of each other. One in Eureka and another in Redding. Both occurred in the late afternoon. I had an ear tone before them and I knew very well one of those quakes was most likely at the MTJ, but after hearing my ear tone, I asked the others at my dinner table if anyone had noticed their ears ringing. Four out of the five of them said they had a ringing in their left ear. I had never mentioned to any of them my experiences with ear tones, so they had no prior knowledge of my tinkerings. But I only had one tone, not two. Tonight I had two left ear tones. One quake should show up around Eureka and other between Punta Gorda and Petrolia. Normally these matching ear tones for the north see quakes which develop sooner rather than later. But as I have had a problem with my mags of late I think I could safely say these quakes would be at least a 3.0, but not likely much larger. So, just for curiosity lets see if we can get two for Thanksgiving this year. Petra
